This moody painting depicts a crosswalk at night after a fresh rain in which the human presence is apparent without anyone in the painting. I had a chance to talk with the jurior who drew special attention to the very difficult black on black work and the little blue and red light refelctions from the stop light on the street towards the right side. I am honored to represent Western Michigan University and continue to develop as an artist!
